Aquarius Waste Management saves customer from ongoing smells
A customer contacted us as they have been getting unbearable drain smells at their property in particular the home office, we quickly attended to jet the system through and carried out a CCTV survey to investigate the cause of the smells.
We pushed our camera up from the external manhole back through the property and found a buried internal chamber which we located using our tracing equipment to pinpoint the exact locating of the cover.
This cover was unsealed, buried under the flooring and a thin layer of concrete covering it.
We were able remove the old cover and install a new double sealed frame and cover to prevent future smells. To improve access to the chamber we also raised it up to ground level so in future there will be no need to remove concrete to gain access to the chamber.
Our customer was happy with the finished result and has even asked us to replace an external cover as well.
